Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Doncaster

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

We are looking for support staff who are eager to try new things and are up for a challenge, are friendly, active able to “think outside the box”. You will be supporting the three gentlemen with everyday tasks, such as washing, cleaning, cooking, personal care, attending appointments, as well going out and indoor activities.

Experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health concerns, anxieties, as well as autism is essential, although all relevant training will be provided. You will need to be able to follow, create and update detailed support plans to help ensure that all people we support are cared for how the need and wish to be.

What we're looking for:
• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Drivers with access to their own vehicle, that are happy to use it for work, are not essential for this role but are preferred.

Contract options:
Relief - Hours to suit your lifestyle and needs

Shift times:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 6 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
We have a variety of shift start and finish times, generally shifts are;

• Days: 0800-1900, 0830-2200, 0700-1000
• Sleep in: 2200-0700 (sleep in a bed, in a private bedroom)

There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20.
