Summary
Permanent - 11 hours per week, term-time only (37 weeks per year)Salary - Support Staff Spine Point 21 (£24,654 FTE, £5,976.42 Actual)We have exciting opportunities available for enthused Passenger Assistants to join our team here at St Vincent College.
Passenger assistants play a key role in enabling children and young people with special educational needs travel to and from school and college in a safe environment. We have our own minibuses to be able to support our young people in accessing college. The college provides specialist education and support for 200+ young people aged 16-25 with moderate and complex learning difficulties and disabilities with some, requiring access to transport.
No formal qualifications are needed, just a natural rapport with young adults, alongside an awareness and understanding of special educational needs.A willingness to support students with medical needs. Training will be given.As a member of this team you will play an active part in the delivery of a responsive and successful customer service provision in accordance with the College Mission, Visions and Values.
An understanding of working with high-needs students and first aid training are essential.The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.Vacancy will remain open until all positions are filled.
Interviews will be conducted as and when suitable applications are received.
