Summary
This is a part time, term time only post, 8.5 hours per week worked over 2 days. In this role, you would be responsible for identifying new work experience opportunities for Health and Social Care students. Working closely with the Section Manager, you would maintain a database of work experience placements and organise the setting up and operation of work experience arrangements. Responsibilities will involve liaising with work providers, students and College staff and maintaining effective systems for the monitoring of placements. The role may also involve visiting employers’ premises and carrying out risk assessment checks.
You will be a pro-active, organised individual with strong administrative skills, including experience of working with databases and Microsoft Office software. You will have excellent communication skills with good attention to detail and will be able to work flexibly and on your own initiative.
Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2026). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. This will be paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August. The salary will revert to the normal arrangements as stated in the advert at the start of the following academic year.
