Summary
A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled, organised and proactive Art and DT Technician to join our team at Wycliffe College, to provide practical, technical, and administrative support to teaching staff and students across our Art and Design and Technology (DT) departments. The role is essential in ensuring lessons run smoothly, safely, and effectively by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and supporting high-quality teaching and learning. You will work closely with teachers to foster a creative, safe, and well-organised learning environment, helping both staff and students achieve their best outcomes.
We are looking for someone with practical skills relevant to Art and/or DT, and experience working with materials and machinery. You should have good organisational skills, attention to detail, and an awareness of health and safety requirements in practical environments. The ability to work independently, as part of a team, and communicate effectively with staff and students is essential, along with a positive approach to supporting young people.
This is an exciting opportunity, where the successful candidate can make a real difference to students’ learning experiences and contribute to a creative, well-equipped, and safe practical learning space.
Terms of Appointment:This is a permanent, part-time position, working on a term-time basis with flexibility to met curriculum requirements. The role if for 25 hours per weeks and will be shared between the Art and DT Departments.

Interviews: W/C 2nd March 2026
The College is currently in discussion regarding joining the QED Schools Group, which may result in the future transfer of employment to the Group.
