The Role
We are looking to recruit a Technical Support Officer to join our busy Technical Support Team to support the delivery of an excellent customer focussed Planning, Building Control & Land Charges service. The role will predominantly provide technical support to the Building Control service. There will also be opportunity to provide Technical Support to the Planning, Policy, Enforcement and Land Charges services through the processing of applications and otherwise assisting our professional teams/services.
The role is hybrid with the candidate needing to attend needing the Council’s offices at Tameside One, Ashton under Lyne on a regular basis.
About You
You must be organised, analytical and confident with excellent IT skills and high levels of care and accuracy in your work. You will also need to have a flexible approach to work, great people skills, the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment and the willingness to support change and innovation. Ideally you will have some knowledge of the Building Control functions and have experience of working within a Planning/Building Control environment.
