Summary
Meeting and greeting our passengers is an important part of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team of hosts at Harbour Station.
We can offer you:

• Seasonal contract from 21st March 2026 to 31st October 2026
• 7 hour shifts 3 or 4 days per week

This post will be based in the station car park. Key duties will include greeting visitors to the station, managing the car park on a day to day basis, directing passengers to the overflow car park, assisting coaches with parking and giving information about the railways and the town to visitors.
Core Skills:
• ‘Front of House’ position so a cheerful and helpful disposition is essential
• Must be presentable and approachable at all times
• Smart appearance following dress code
• Able to communicate information in a clear and friendly manner
• A full, clean driving licence is required for this position to drive Company vehicles
• An understanding of vehicle manoeuvring in small spaces is necessary for this position
• The ability to speak Welsh is highly desirable
• Knowledge of locations on the Railways and their use by visitors is required for this position
• Knowledge of Porthmadog and the surrounding area is required for this position
