We pride ourselves on leading for new, innovative and sustainable products and solutions, both for today and for a new era of building.To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Production Manager to come and join our team at our Dorket Head Factory.The senior production manager will ensure that a consistent approach is developed with regards to factory operations, supporting and developing the production managers and their teams to ensure safe and efficient operations by managing self, employees and contractors to exceed Ibstock standards in safety, health, environment, quality, engagement, development, customer service, production and cost.Responsibilities:Ensure close liaison, understanding and team working between factory operatives and all other departments to achieve performance targets and production schedules, notifying the Factory Manager in a timely fashion of any potential shortfalls/ changes to schedule /problems /opportunities and proposed solutions.To provide strong leadership in your area of responsibility and ensure deadlines are met.Deputise for the Factory Manager.Take leadership in identifying and implementing initiatives that provide Continuous Improvement and Best Practice and assist the factory manager in implementing and sustaining Continuous Improvement & Best practiceAssist the Production Managers in establishing shift patterns and arranging break/ holiday/ training / relief cover in order to meet operational demands.Provide close and effective management for activities at the factory to ensure Safety, Health, and Environmental conformance.Ensure that all production records are correctly filled in as required in a timely manner in line with business requirements and are in line with the required level of data quality.Liaise with engineering manager to develop maintenance plan integrated with the operationAssist the factory Manager and the Engineering Manager to develop CapEx plans and improvements for the wider siteQualifications and experience required:IOSH Preferable.Senior Management Experience of working in a fast-moving factory environment.Leading a multi discipline team to safely produce high quality products efficiently whilst maintaining plant in excellent working order.Team and self-development in a supportive and engaging environment.Confidence, resilience and driveTechnical knowledge of heavy plant and fast-moving manufacturing processes.Ability to quickly learn new production techniques and manufacturing improvement processes and coach others.Integration of department targets into site vision.Think you can make a difference?
