Yard Operative / Traffic Marshall
The Role
To assist with loading and unloading vehicles and maintain a clean and safe site/yard area.
Working as part of the site/yard operations team and providing full operational support to all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety
- Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping, looking after stores and clearing the compound, Ensuring that the yard is free of any hazards
- Complete tasks by the Yard/Site risk assessments and notify the Site Manager of any potential non-compliance.
- Report accidents and near misses using the correct methods.
- Make sure all delivery drivers are compliant with PPE standards on site.
Quality
- Ensure works are carried out by processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by providing suggestions and feedback to Management.
- Work to agreed timescales, updating the yard manager on progress. Maintain good communication with other Management at all times.
About you
Essential
- Previous experience loading and unloading vehicles.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work well within a team, offering support to others.
