Summary
Electrical Engineer
Harrogate
Electrical Engineer required for a field-based role undertaking service, repair and maintenance of large plant and process equipment on customer sites. We are very interested in hearing from candidates with experience in chemical, oil, gas, Petrochem, water or commercial HVAC, FMCG with confident knowledge of fault finding and repair utilising PLC's and working on instrumentation and control panels. The ideal candidate will be happy to learn and work on mechanical, pipework and valves and training can be given.
The role will be primarily field based, with the rest of the time being spent in the Yorkshire office.
Responsibilities include:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of components, equipment, valves, instrumentation and safety devices at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Perform routine inspections on components, equipment, valves and safety devices
- Maintain accurate records and reports of service activities
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product functionality and customer experience.
- Provide support to customers on the proper use of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on-site.
The person:
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer with confident electrical and instrumentation knowledge
- Happy to work with large plant equipment
- Ability to fault find, diagnose and repair electrical systems independently
- Well, presented, personable and professional with the ability to train customers
- Be happy to travel regularly and stay away from home.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while travelling to various locations.
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in a Electrical discipline or be time served
- Hold a full, valid driving licence
- Be happy to undertake mechanical duties and pipework (training provided)
- Gas Safe Registration would be advantageous but not essential
