Summary


Guild Lodge Secure Mental Health Inpatient Services is establishing a newly developed, forward-thinking Safety and Security Team to enhance the quality, consistency and therapeutic focus of our secure environment. This is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in delivering and evaluating training that directly supports staff competence, confidence, and safety. Your expertise will help shape the culture and standards of a newly evolving team and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the service.

Applications are now invited from a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with substantial experience in secure mental health, forensic services, to bring proven experience in delivering training or facilitating learning within a clinical environment, supported by exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

The role requires confidence in managing challenging situations and the ability to support others in developing these competencies. A strong commitment to trauma‑informed, recovery‑focused practice is essential, alongside the ability to motivate, inspire, and positively influence staff at all levels.

The Secure Service Network provides high quality care for men, woman and men with acquired brain injuries who experience enduring mental illness with a range of complex cognitive, relational and mental health difficulties and risk-related needs. Our core values include a focus on developing excellent therapeutic relationships with service users and working jointly to understand their rehabilitation needs, ensuring optimal quality of life. This post will be suited to those with experience and understanding of the challenges faced within a secure inpatient service. The individual will be able to guide and support, using clinical experience to deliver evidence based training to employees to ensure they are well-informed about physical, relational and procedural security in relation to service users, staff and environments.

Successful applicants will be able to experience a broad range of clinical specialities and will have access to a comprehensive package of professional coaching, education and clinical support.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who is caring and compassionate with an interest support individuals in their recovery. The individual needs to be able to role model and have good understanding of confidentiality and boundaries.
