Summary
Hold overall responsibility for all noninvasive cardiac investigations, ensuring high clinical standards and report turnaround times. Maintain expertlevel clinical competence and perform advanced cardiac diagnostic techniques independently. Acquire, analyse and interpret complex clinical data, providing expert opinion and reviewing conflicting or atypical results. Provide daytoday operational leadership for the noninvasive service, ensuring appropriate staffing, workflow management and service continuity across sites. Ensure robust implementation, monitoring and compliance with Trust policies, SOPs, quality standards and regulatory requirements. Support service development initiatives, including new diagnostic pathways and the introduction of new technologies. Lead on complaints handling, incident investigations and embedding learning outcomes. Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, repairs, safety testing and asset management in collaboration with Clinical Engineering. Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control standards, equipment cleaning procedures and safety protocols. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, environment of care and safety within the noninvasive department. Collect, review and present audit data to support service evaluation and improvement. Support research and innovation activities where relevant. Ensure accurate and secure documentation, data management and reporting for clinical, statistical and research purposes. Lead recruitment, induction, mentoring and supervision of team members. Carry out appraisals, performance reviews and management of staff development plans. Ensure the team maintains required competencies and has access to appropriate CPD, training and educational opportunities. Manage leave, sickness reporting and staffing rotas to ensure safe service coverage. Lead delivery of specialist training and education for noninvasive cardiac physiology across the team. Maintain and develop personal professional knowledge, skills and competencies in line with regulatory and Trust standards. Communicate complex and sensitive information clearly to patients, relatives and colleagues. Support MDT communication, consultant liaison and highquality private patient customer service. Act as a key point of contact for operational, clinical and service-related queries. Support implementation and review of Trust and private patient policies, ensuring team compliance. Contribute to business planning, financial performance monitoring and meeting income targets. Identify opportunities for cost improvement, resource optimisation and commercial growth. Maintain awareness of competitor services and contribute to strategic positioning of the private cardiac diagnostics offer.
