Summary
The postholder will provide a critical role in assessing Public Protection cases for suitability for the Approved Premises estate.
They will work closely with Approved Premises Managers, Probation Practitioners and internal stakeholders to ensure to ensure a collaborative approach.
The postholder will work on a National approach to ensuring consistency and implementing process and policies. This will also involve some attendance at meetings and delivering briefings.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsibility for providing management oversight of an area Central Referral Unit.
• Operational implementation of National Policy/Practice instructions, procedures and guidance relating to eligibility and suitability of Applications to Approved Premises.
• Assessment of Public Protection cases and suitability for an Approved Premises.
• Maintain a level of oversight relating to occupancy performance in the Approved Premises.
• Have an oversight of bed management expectations in Approved Premises to ensure resources are being used effectively.
• Work closely with operational staff, senior leaders, internal and external teams to ensure that operational practice instruction and guidance is embedded.
• Deliver briefings and provide support to NPS staff nationally on operational practice instructions and guidance relating to the Central Referral Unit.
• Report to the National Approved Premises Central Referral Unit Operational Lead.
