Summary


The Band 7 Dietitian is responsible for providing dietetic support to adult, older adult, high support and rehabilitation patients in our mental health inpatient services in Bury, Rochdale and Oldham.

This is a fixed term post to provide cover for maternity leave.

The main duties of the job are to
• Assess and monitor patients, offering therapeutic dietary advice and education to a range of patients within inpatient services
• Provide specialist nutritional and dietetic advice to medical, health care professionals and other agencies.
• Contribute to the nutrition and dietetic service as a whole through participation in service development
• Training for staff and patients to improve service delivery

You will be working as an independent specialist practitioner providing dietetic assessment and interventions across wards on several sites in three boroughs. You will utilize well developed communication skills to work effectively with patients, carers and multi professional teams at each site to ensure the best outcome for patients.

You will plan , deliver and evaluate informal and formal training to patients and staff. You will work collaboratively with other Trust dietitians and contribute to project, resource and policy development as appropriate.
