The Medicine Division is seeking a Specialty Managerto join our dynamic and supportive management team withinCluster 1, which covers the following services:
• Emergency Department
• Acute Medicine
• Medical Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)
• Acute Response Team
• Clinical Psychology
• Emergency Zone receptionists

This is a permanent role offering a varied and rewarding workload. You’ll have the opportunity to lead service improvements, drive transformation projects, contribute to the Divisional Emergency Zone flow management rota, and play an active role in both Division and Trust-wide initiatives.

We’re looking for candidates with proven experience in operational management and a strong track record of delivering results. Success in this role will depend on your ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams and fellow managers, providing clear leadership and robust operational oversight to achieve service objectives and performance targets.

The post holder will be a key member of the Divisional Management Team, working closely with colleagues to support the overall management and development of the Medicine Division at North Bristol NHS Trust.

They will be responsible for leading and managing designated specialties and services within the Division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care and achievement of performance targets and strategic objectives.

A core aspect of the role will be building and maintaining effective relationships with staff across NBT and external partners to ensure the continued provision of safe, effective, and timely services.

The post holder will provide leadership across workforce, finance, and performance, and will lead on a range of projects as required within the Division. They will also contribute to key annual business cycles, including capacity and demand modelling, business planning, and job planning.
