If it breaks, can you fix it?

We now have an opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and excited about keeping our wheels on the road.

As a qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician, with MOT testing qualifications or willing to undertake training for MOT Testing, you will play a critical role in helping to maintain a large and varied fleet of Vehicles & Plant equipment ranging from 32Tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles to Massey Ferguson Tractors & Mowers.

Ashfield District Council’s not a bad place to work (we think we are better than others), we value our employees (without you we won’t be able to empty our bins, cut the grass or maintain our Council Housing stock) and offering benefits including a very generous holiday entitlement, up to 35 days per year plus bank holidays along with a generous local government pension.

Ashfield District Council, located in North Nottinghamshire and in easy reach of Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield, is a District Council with BIG City ambitions. Having secured over £62m in Towns Fund investment to support our communities and thriving businesses we are passionate about the place and the people who live, work, study and visit Ashfield.
