Summary

SEN Learning Support Assistant – [Location]

Humly is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a SEN school on a long-term basis.

This is a full-time role supporting children with a range of additional needs, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, learning delay, physical difficulties, challenging behaviour, and social and emotional challenges. It would suit a dedicated and compassionate professional looking to make a real difference in the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support children with additional needs in line with individual education plans

Deliver targeted interventions to promote learning and development

Assist with managing challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive way

Encourage social and emotional growth through structured activities

Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt resources and lesson plans

Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and SEN coordinators

What You’ll Bring

Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting

Knowledge of strategies for supporting ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, staff, and parents

Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable)

Pay

£14.85 per hour
