This role will focus on access and signposting for people coming into the service. Job Opportunity This is a maternity cover post, until February 2027 and will work 22.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday, covering 4.5 hours per day. Our Access and Engagement Workers act as a first point of contact for our clients, to ensure that they are able to access appropriate services and treatment efficiently and promptly. You will work as part of a dedicated service team and work in close partnership with other health care professionals, partner agencies, service commissioners and clinical/mental health teams to ensure that those accessing our services receive prompt advice and treatment. You'll be joining a team with clients at the forefront of everything they do, with the core aim of improving access to appropriate services for those who are needing our support. Key duties for this role include: Being the first point of contact for new clients Support with the arranging of appointments, coordination of referrals and telephone answering to provide an efficient information service to clients Provide an effective and accurate data entry service including the production of basic statistical reports as requested by management Signposting new clients to appropriate services and ensuring that they have the information they need to access support Essential Skills We'd be excited to see the following in your application: Demonstrable ability to use digital systems confidently, including data entry, remote access platforms and casemanagement systems (e.g Nebula or similar) Accuracy and attention to detail Strong clientfacing communication skills The ability to engage clients calmly and professionally by phone, gather relevant information and arrange appointments while maintaining a supportive tone The ability to prioritise and organise workload across multiple practices Strong timemanagement skills Basic knowledge of signposting and community support pathways DE&I As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff.
