Summary
1 Main Reception - face to face duties dealing with ALL General related enquiries face to face, New Patient Registrations and Temporary Resident patients who are wishing to join the Practice complete relevant registration forms Meet & Greet welcoming all patients and visitors, sign posting ALL visitors to the correct Health Care Professional ensure visitors have signed the visitors book Ensure ALL patients are checked in to the appropriate Health CareProfessional 2 Arrange Interpreting Services appropriate ensuring suitable appointment for both the patient and interpreting service 3 Ensure Waiting Areas are clean and tidy noting any potential risks such as spillages or any obstructions left from patients report straight away to line manager Ensure waiting areas are fully stocked with Practice Leaflets 4 Telephone - Deal with all related telephone enquiries prescription request, test results, home visits, New Patient Registrations and Temporary resident Registrations 5 Repeat Prescription request and queries - prepare electronic repeat prescription requests for electronic signature. All non repeat prescription requests to sign post a task to appropriate prescriber 6 Summarisation of records - ensure accurate data entry of summarisation of records when new patients register 7 GP2GP NEW PATIENT REGISTRATIONS ensure records have been received correctly through the Registration Data Flow within the EMIS Web Tasks Flow Manager 8 Deduction Requests - prepare patients digital record request and print patient deduction label and return records/ back to PCSE in the appropriate courier bag/s 9 Subject to access requests prepare copy records for patient of third party provider 10 Scanning - scan reports and Hospital letters scan and file accurately into patients records 11 Workflow Optimisation - Monitor letters from incoming third party providers, code relevant entries and sign post if any action to appropriate Health Care Professionals 12 Confidentiality - Adopting the Confidentiality Code of General Practice at all times ensuring all information is safe and kept locked away 13 PPG Patient Participation Group actively engage patients by promoting support materials provided by Practice Keep Notice Board up to date 14 roles may change from time to time dependent on Practice needs
