Summary

The Security Control Room (SCR) is a central hub pivotal position within the Security Department, playing a critical role in safeguarding everyone on the estate.

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the safety and security of all stakeholders through the effective management and coordination of security and communication systems. Having two dedicated managers within the SCR provides greater control accountability and autonomy for our highly trained operators, who understand the unique demands of this environment.

The successful candidate will work in a modern purpose built control room equipped with recently upgraded, high specification CCTV system and front-end alarm handling system.

Beyond routine operational a key responsibility will be to lead and coordinate responses to emergency situations providing clear, calm, and decisive direction to operational teams and stakeholders, and ensuring accurate handover of information to senior management.

The role of the CCTV control room manager is a developing role which will give the successful candidate the opportunity to help formulate strategy and procedures on key aspects of the role. The shift patterns for this role are based on Monday to Friday 7.00 - 15.30 or 13.30 - 20.00 but could include some weekend/late working to accommodate functions or major events.

Job Specific criteria:
1. Proven experience in managing security operations within a Control Room or similar environment.
2. Competent in using modern security systems including , CCTV, Alarms and Access Control Systems or a proven ability to adapt and grasp operating new software platforms.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage and respond effectively to emergency situations identifying critical issues quickly and accurately.
4. Excellent communication skills able to remain calm clear and articulate under pressure.
5. Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information, with an understanding of the principals of data protection and the GDPR regulations
