Nurture Room SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting as soon as possible

Duties as Nurture Room SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored support within the nurture room for pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Support emotional regulation, social development, and routine building
- Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to reinforce key learning
- Assist with structured interventions and therapeutic activities
- Implement behaviour and support plans consistently
- Create a calm, safe, and predictable environment for pupils
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Nurture Room SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Strong SEND experience, especially with SEMH and nurture‑based support
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Confident supporting pupils who may be dysregulated or anxious
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable implementing routines, behaviour plans, and regulation strategies
- Adaptable, resilient, and proactive in supporting a range of needs
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
- Reliable and committed to long-term consistency for pupils
