We’re looking for an Area Counsellor Specialist/Psychotherapist/Psychological therapist (equiv NHS AFC Band 7)

Do you want to help aspiring counsellors learn and grow? We’ve got an exciting fulltime opportunity for an experienced registered Counsellor, Psychotherapist or Psychological therapist who is interested in a supervisory role, working across our Via services.



This well supported post is ideal for therapists seeking to step into a leadership position whilst continuing to grow diverse skills that contribute to trauma-informed working.



The role will provide leadership and play a key role in shaping culture and processes. The role is predominantly based in Gloucestershire but with additional oversight of other via counselling services nationally. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will support our volunteer counsellors to provide safe and effective interventions through regular supervision, work alongside other psychological professionals to deliver a stepped care model for those experiencing psychological distress, and support the counselling service to grow and innovate.

Via offers community and residential services for substance use. We nurture new ideas, put co-production at the heart of what we do, and provide clinicians with the support to explore and grow.

Working hours: This is a full-time role, however contracted hours could be negotiable for the right person.
