Summary
SEND Learning Support Partner Andover
Prospero Teaching is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Partner to join a friendly school in Andover. This position involves providing tailored assistance to pupils with additional learning needs through dedicated 1:1 support and structured small-group activities.
The school is searching for someone who is calm, patient, and committed to helping children overcome academic or emotional barriers. You'll work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised strategies that promote confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
This role suits anyone passionate about working with children with SEND whether you have previous school experience or are a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience within an educational environment.
The Role:
Offer daily 1:1 support to pupils with varying SEND needs
Assist with small-group sessions aimed at building core learning and social skills
Encourage pupil engagement and help them regulate emotions
Adapt tasks under the guidance of the class teacher
Provide consistent encouragement, reassurance, and monitoring throughout the day
Follow SEND targets and support plans
Work collaboratively across the teaching, SEN, and pastoral teams
Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, etc.)
Calm, kind, patient, and able to respond flexibly
Confident working both 1:1 and with groups
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passionate about supporting inclusive learning
Graduates in psychology, education, childhood studies, or related fields encouraged to apply

Pay: £14.66 - £15.66 per hour

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
Experience working with children preferred
SEND exposure or training beneficial
Safeguarding training (can be supplied if needed)
Eligibility:
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
Two references required
