The Role
You will work closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting their learning, emotional regulation and social development. The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have at least 6 months of classroom experience, ideally within SEN
- Be confident supporting pupils with complex or additional needs
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Be calm, responsive and physically engaged when required
- Bring creativity, resilience and strong communication skills
- Be a genuine advocate for inclusive, child-centred education
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour
- Implementing structured routines while remaining flexible in approach
- Assisting with differentiated learning activities
- Encouraging movement, engagement and confidence-building
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
- Maintaining high safeguarding standards at all times
