Thrive Education, a trusted local agency specialising in SEN support, is recruiting Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of schools and alternative provisions throughout Devon, Cornwall, and Dorset.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and supporting children and young people who learn best through practical, hands-on, and active approaches. You'll play a key role in helping pupils feel engaged, supported, and confident in a variety of learning environments.
As an Outdoor Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs
- Encourage engagement and independence through outdoor and practical activities
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Adapt your support style to suit different settings and learner needs
- Work flexibly across a range of schools and provisions

- Experience working with children or young people in SEN, care, or youth settings
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach
- Confidence working in outdoor or non-traditional learning environments
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- Access to your own transport (essential due to travel between settings)
