- Assist the Class Teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting KS2 curriculum materials.
- Manage challenging behaviour with patience and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment where the student feels safe and encouraged.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and parents.
What do you need?
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally within KS2.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic nature with the ability to build strong rapport quickly.
- Strong communication skills and a "can-do" attitude.
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or Team Teach is highly desirable but not essential.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
What Long Term Futures Offers
- Competitive daily rates paid weekly.
- A dedicated consultant to provide ongoing support and career advice.
- Access to free CPD courses to enhance your skills and CV.
- Referral bonus scheme for recommending friends or colleagues.
