The Role – Nursery Assistant

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing within a safe and nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the delivery of activities in line with the EYFS framework

  
  

• Assisting with daily routines, including play, meals and outdoor learning

  
  

• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development

  
  

• Helping to maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment

  
  

• Working collaboratively with room leaders and practitioners

  
  

• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times

  Requirements

  To be considered for a Nursery Assistant position in Chelmsford, you should:

  • Have previous experience working with children (nursery, preschool, school or childcare setting preferred)

  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
