About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant at Wetheringsett Manor, you will play a vital role in helping our pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is more than a support role — it’s your chance to make a real, lasting difference in the lives of young people.
You will:
Support pupils individually and in small groups, helping them develop literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills
Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities
Implement positive behaviour strategies and maintain a calm, encouraging classroom atmosphere
Prepare classroom resources and support enrichment trips and school activities
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour
Work closely with teachers, therapy staff, and pastoral teams
Supervise pupils during break and lunch periods
Who We’re Looking For
We want someone who is:
Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
Experienced in working with children, ideally in a SEN or specialist setting
A team player who communicates effectively and collaborates well with colleagues
Committed to helping pupils overcome barriers and reach their potential
Full UK Driving Licence (highly desirable)
