Are you an experienced careers professional with a passion for guiding learners and driving employability programmes? We are recruiting a Careers & World of Work Manager to join a dynamic Student Services team in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the college’s careers provision, support learners and apprentices, and make a tangible impact on their futures.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and coordinate the Careers and World of Work provision for students and apprentices
- Lead and support a team to deliver high-quality impartial careers advice and guidance
- Manage work experience, placement activities, and employability initiatives
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the CRC Careers Programme
- Engage with employers, external agencies, and stakeholders to support learners’ career pathways
- Ensure achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks and other quality standards
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing careers and work experience provision within an FE setting
- Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development
- Minimum of GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade A-C or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of employability frameworks, including Gatsby Benchmarks
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and proactive approach
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Working pattern:
- Full-time, 37 hours per week, full year
- Agile working: one day per week from home, except during peak periods
