Summary
We are looking for a Compliance Manager to ensure full Operator Licence compliance, manage audit‑ready driver and vehicle records, oversee transport systems, and provide effective administrative support to maintain a safe and legally compliant operation.
- Ensuring drivers’ hours and tachograph rules are observed and proper records kept
- Ensuring all drivers always have a valid licence check in place
- Supporting driver trainer to manage documents for all drivers including but not limited to; Assessment, Induction, Training and CPC hours files are complete and accurate and audit ready
- Monitoring & ensuring vehicles are being operated within speed limits & appropriate actions taken with drivers
- Maintaining all vehicle records, which includes but is not limited to driver defect reports, all safety inspections, routine maintenance and repairs to vehicles and trailers
- Ensuring motor vehicles and trailers, including hired vehicles and trailers, are kept fit and serviceable
- Monitoring of defects or symptoms of defects that could prevent the safe operation of vehicles and/or trailers, and that any defects are promptly recorded in writing & appropriately administered
- Owner of digital systems such as Tachomaster, DAVIS, Zenith & Bridgestone Portal
- Regular supplier liaison, reviewing performance against KPI’s & closing off any ongoing queries
- Regular “spot checks” on drivers, vehicles and administration within the transport environment
- Liaise with Booker network and central fleet team as required
- Support internal/external audits review
- General administration & reporting
Essential
- Administrative experience is essential
- Previous experience of working in Transport related environment
- PC Literate (especially excel & PowerPoint).
- Ability to analyse verbal and numeric data.
- Able to work on own initiative and under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy and constantly changing environment.
- Ability to identify issues and follow through to a logical conclusion (completer/finisher).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to keep details confidential within the scope of GDPR.
- Proven ability to build good working relationships with own team across network
- Good attention to detail
Desirable
- National CPC holder
- Experience in Transport & Logistics
- Knowledge of Vehicles Road Transport law (especially driver’s hours and vehicles servicing etc.).
- Experience with fleet administration.
- Knowledge of Operator licencing compliance.
