Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The children, staff, parents and governors of St Matthew’s are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Head Teacher who is capable of delivering educational excellence and is committed to ensuring that the school remains “a loving family that shares, learns, prays and flourishes together.” We are a welcoming and inclusive church school serving a diverse local community. Our Christian vision and values underpin our daily life within school and our Christian foundations shine brightly for all to see, guiding us spiritually, morally, socially and intellectually to become confident, successful and aspirational individuals.
Our children and staff uphold our Christian values of Love, Friendship, Creativity and Respect; caring for, respecting and valuing each other within our school community and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced Head Teacher who will continue to lead our large, happy, successful and safe school and is committed to ensuring that;
• Every child is cared for as an individual and nurtured to reach their personal potential
• The importance of academic progress is accompanied by opportunities to develop social, creative and sporting skills.
• The strong links with church and community are continued and further developed
• The Christian ethos continues to flourish within the diverse community
• Families are actively encouraged to be involved in their child’s education
• All staff are respected, supported and appreciated.
