We have five schools: Oak Wood Primary School, Oak Wood Secondary School, Michael Drayton Junior School, Higham Lane School and Higham Lane North Academy. Together, we offer a comprehensive education to students aged 4 to 19 in both mainstream and SEND settings. We are a diverse Trust that celebrates individual learning needs, including profound, severe, and complex learning needs.
Oak Wood Primary School is a successful specialist setting for children and young people aged from 4 to 11 with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and learning disabilities. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Support Worker and Mid-day supervisor.
BROAD DESCRIPTION:
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of pupils before, during and after the lunchtime period. Provide personal care as required. Join in with activities in class in a supervisory role as required.
Works under the general direction of designated member of Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibility for others: The post has considerable direct impact on the well-being of individuals or groups through either providing appropriate care or welfare for those who are personally dependant on the post for basic needs. (This post works with pupils with special needs requiring specialist support, including administering medication and using Makaton language skills as required)
