Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The Corpus Christi Federation is looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative teacher for September 2026, or sooner if possible, to teach in our EYFS classroom. In September 2025, St Helens opened a new nursery. A restructure of the school allowed for nursery and reception children to be taught in our new EYFS classroom. We are looking for a motivated, inspirational teacher who exudes passion and enthusiasm for the EYFS to create a wonderful learning environment for our youngest children.
Our school members and staff team have a strong sense of community, moral purpose and strive to foster good relationships with parents. Our school community works together as a team and is also committed to working collaboratively in partnership as a Federation and across our wider community. The Federation schools are small schools with a PAN of 20; the schools are a central part of the community. The schools are on a journey of improvement, and we are looking for a class teacher to support us in achieving the consistent and high-quality education we are striving for.
We are seeking to appoint a teacher who:
• Will be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of our school
• Is an excellent classroom practitioner
• Has high expectations of pupil’s achievement and behaviour
• Is well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team
• Is committed to raising standards and ensuring children meet their full potential
• Will inspire children to enjoy learning
• Is flexible and adaptable
• Has experience of teaching in EYFS
What the school offers its staff

• Coaching and mentoring support from a member of our SLT
• A close working relationship with parents and our local community

•
Commitment to safeguarding
The Governors of Corpus Christi Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, the role is engaged in regulated activity and will therefore require a children’s barred list check. Shortlisted Applicants will be required to complete a self-disclosure. An online search check will be carried out in line with the federation Safer Recruitment Policy.
