Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an excellent Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
Under the guidance, direction and in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and teachers, you will undertake specific work with identified pupils, providing a complementary service to that provided by teachers.
This role is predominantly EYFS/KS1 interventions (Floppy Phonics) and writing/reading groups up to KS2. Do you have the ability to enhance the learning of pupils who need help and support to overcome barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential? Can you apply your high-level knowledge and specialist skills across a range of specialist disciplines, thus contributing to raising standards of attainment, improving attendance and maintaining good standards of behaviour?
Occasional class cover may also be required.
What the school offers its staff
We offer you:
• An outstanding learning environment both internally and externally
• Children who are curious, playful and eager to learn in a fun environment
• Regular CPD and opportunities to further yourself
• An opportunity to be part of an exciting future where there is an absolute focus on working smarter on the things that have the greatest impact on pupils’ progress
• A school that embodies our values of Kindness, Respect, Courage and Curiosity
Commitment to safeguarding
This School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a criminal records self-disclosure form and successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks along with other relevant employment checks.
