What you'll do:
- Complete your daily schedule of cleaning tasks across toilets, offices, breakout areas, and other designated spaces, following the instructions of the Cleaning Supervisor or Floor Manager
- Use safety signs, barriers, and correct cleaning methods at all times to maintain a safe environment for building users
- Wear the correct uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring high standards of personal hygiene and appearance during every shift
- Engage professionally with customers and building occupants while working in their areas, responding to any issues politely and immediately
- Clean and maintain workplace facilities including fridges, dishwashers, coffee machines, and breakout points to ensure they remain hygienic and presentable
- Adhere strictly to colour‑coding protocols to prevent cross‑contamination in all cleaning tasks
- Keep cleaning cupboards stocked, tidy, and compliant, reporting any product shortages, equipment faults, or hazards to your Supervisor
- Follow all Sodexo and client policies, including those related to Health & Safety, hygiene, COSHH, security, and safe working procedures
- Complete required paperwork, forms, and any site documentation accurately and on time
- Attend training sessions, team meetings, and contribute ideas that support continuous improvement of service delivery
- Assist with additional duties on request, including supporting facilities or hospitality teams, and covering colleagues’ shifts during holiday or sickness periods
What you'll bring:
- Previous cleaning experience is welcome, but not essential — what matters is your ability to deliver consistent, high‑quality results across a range of cleaning tasks
- Strong initiative: you’re someone who can get on with tasks without leaving them for colleagues and who works proactively throughout the shift
- Confident, friendly communication skills, allowing you to build positive working relationships and respond effectively to customer queries or concerns
- A strong understanding of safe working practices, including health and safety, COSHH, colour‑coding standards, and proper use of PPE and equipment
- A team‑focused attitude — you collaborate well, contribute in team meetings, and support colleagues when needed, including covering sickness or holidays
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring cleaning cupboards are stocked and tidy, coffee machines and fridges are cleaned, and all areas meet expected quality checks
- A flexible approach, willing to take on reasonable management requests or assist other onsite teams when required
- Good basic literacy, numeracy, and English skills for completing forms, paperwork, and following written instructions accurately
