Join a globally recognised manufacturing business as a Production Supervisor on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Team Leaders and Production Operators - keeping communication open on the shop floor, running briefings, and promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
- Make sure the daily production plan is met by organising labour, equipment, and materials and adjusting staffing where needed.
- Handle day‑to‑day people management, including training, performance discussions, recruiting support, and dealing with issues fairly and promptly.
- Take ownership of health, safety and environment standards, investigating incidents, updating systems, completing risk assessments, and driving safer ways of working.
- Use lean tools to improve processes, support preventative maintenance activities, manage time‑and‑attendance, and build good relationships with union reps.
Requirements
- Manufacturing background - the role is better suited to someone coming from an engineering industry.
- Experience dealing with unions would be beneficial.
- Experienced with people management and overseeing teams of 30.
- Strong understanding of HSE requirements.
