The position involves:

  • Maintaining clear, proactive, and professional communication with customers, ensuring all enquiries and service matters are handled promptly.
  • Raising customer orders and ensuring accurate data entry onto the traffic/transport management system.
  • Preparing and processing daily returns and supporting documentation.
  • Managing warehouse clients' stock using the company's Warehouse Management System, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures.
  • Supporting the warehouse team by processing required paperwork and assisting with administrative tasks.
  • Handling customer and depot queries via telephone and email in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Liaising with delivery depots and business partners to ensure successful, timely deliveries.
  • Escalating any issues or potential problems to the supervisor/manager as soon as they arise.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in an office or administrative environment (warehouse/logistics experience beneficial).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work methodically to meet deadlines.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
