Summary
Ensure effective communication and staff involvement mechanism are in place in the service area Ensure all complaints and incidents are dealt with appropriately and within agreed time limits. Ensure that these are of a consistently high quality in terms of level ofinvestigation,written matter and follow through of learning. Toexpeditedecision-making on matters relating to the patient and staff experience, escalating serious issues asappropriate. Identifyopportunities to involve users in the development of services Provide clinical leadership to the Clinical Site Team and Discharge Team Assist the Head of Site Operations and the Hospital Director in setting level of escalationrequiredand activate responseson a daily basis. Assist the Head of Site Operations and Hospital Director to develop clear strategies to optimise the use of beds through modelling and redesign working closely with the divisional managers. Lead on pressure surge planning assurance response. Link with infection control teams to raise the profile of infection control in bed management, reducing the length of stay through more effective management of infections. Work in partnership with the divisions to review the patterns of work of medical staff so they are free to performtimelyward rounds, do not have dual commitments, or other restrictions which delay site operations. Accountable for information sent on the inpatient Unify returns. Adhere to thestandards laid down in the NHS Code of Conduct for Managers, NMC code of practise andat all timesact in a manner that reflects and promotes the values of the Trust Ensure that all activity and serviceobjectivesare effectively met in compliance with Trusts Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions Work closely with other colleagues within the service area to achieve improvements in the quality and efficiency of patient services Represent the Trust in external forums asappropriate tothe role. Actively seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the Trust as a service provider and employer of choice, translating the Trusts overall marketing strategy into specific actions for the service area. Act as a positive role modelin order topromote a professional and well-motivated workforce. Participate on the Trust ManagerialOnCall rota ifrequired Establish Strategies for Site Operation that reflect the trust overallobjectivesincluding service redesign and development and implementing policies to support Trust operational targets. Ensure the trustis able tomeet key Site operations performance targets through effective management and integration of all systems.
