Role Overview

As a Trainee Power Press Setter, you will support the production team by setting up and operating mechanical power presses ranging from 100–200 tonnes. ️ This is a hands-on, training-focused role with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career.

Key Responsibilities
  • ⚙️ Set up and operate mechanical power presses (100–200 tonnes)


  • Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings


  • Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet specifications


  • Perform routine maintenance and report any machinery issues


  • Work closely with the production team to meet output and quality targets


  • Follow all health & safety procedures, including PUWER compliance


  • Support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor


    Candidate Requirements
    • Full driving license (essential)


    • ️ Forklift license (desirable)


    • Interest in mechanical press operation and willingness to learn


    • ️ Understanding of press safety and tooling procedures


    • Ability to follow engineering drawings and documentation


    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality


    • Reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented
