Summary

Position: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 per annum (plus £1,000 referral bonus)
Location: Kidderminster
Contract: 40 hours per week

We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Kidderminster. This role involves providing classroom support, assisting pupils with additional needs, and contributing to a positive and structured learning environment.

You will work closely with teaching staff to support students academically and emotionally, particularly those with SEMH and complex needs. The successful candidate will be motivated, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential.

Essential Criteria:
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Level 2 or above

  • Experience working within a school or educational setting

  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour

  • Child-focused approach with a strong sense of responsibility

  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable:
  • Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools (or equivalent), or working towards it

  • Creative and flexible approach to supporting individual learning needs

Personal Qualities:
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
