Summary

Responsibilities of Sous chef

• Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Lead and inspire the team in the Head Chef’s absence
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
• Manage stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
• Train and develop junior team members

About You

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous chef ready to step up
• Background in high-quality fresh food environments (fine dining or premium hospitality preferred)
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Passion for seasonal produce and refined cooking
• Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail
• A positive, team-focused attitude
