Location – Thurrock
Hours – 30 hours per week

Salary – £27,000 + £683.99 per annum pro rata

What you’ll be doing
The Vaping and Resilience Lead Worker will lead Thurrock’s strategic and operational response to the increasing prevalence of vaping among young people. The role focuses on prevention, early intervention, and targeted support for young people who vape or are at risk of nicotine dependency. The postholder will design and deliver resilience-building programmes, educational workshops, and one-to-one interventions that empower young people to make healthy choices, develop coping strategies, and improve wellbeing. They will work collaboratively with schools, health services, community partners, and families to reduce harm and promote positive outcomes.
What you need
• To have relevant professional qualification i.e. Youth and Community, Counselling, Social Work or NVQ3 Health and Social Care or equivalent
• To have experience in delivering assessments and developing and implementing care plans with young people.
• To demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to accurately record statistical data.
• To be able to drive and have access to your own car.
