Summary
A leading manufacturer of air movement equipment is seeking an experienced engineer with strong project management skills to join an established team in High Wycombe. This is an interactive, hands-on role leading and developing a small team to provide engineering design, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement to a wide range of air movement products and innovative designs for future requirements.
Role:
• This role would suit someone with a strong project engineering skills with an electronics or mechanical background that has experience of leading a team in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 09:00 to 17:00.
• It is essential that when applying for this role you can demonstrate previous engineering experience, project management, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop a multidisciplined team through R&D, design and production engineering
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, structure and accountability
• Lead engineering projects with clear strategic direction and effective resource planning
• Ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met
• Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping to testing, certification, and manufacturing handover
• Ensure products comply with ventilation, energy efficiency, and safety standards
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry regulations, building regulations and standards, and environmental and sustainability directives
• Oversee product testing, validation, and certification
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
• 6+ years’ engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Understanding of relevant manufacturing standards and regulations
• Experience with CAD - SolidWorks
• Strong project management experience
Desirable:
• Strong background in ventilation, HVAC, air handling, or related electromechanical systems
• Experience with CFD analysis, noise reduction techniques, or thermal performance modelling
