Summary
Proactive Office Cleaner (Self-Managed / Fast Pace)
Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton (WV11)
Hours: 2 days/week, 5 hours/day (10 hrs total). Days agreed in advance.
Start time: Can start early (building opens 7am). Most staff arrive 9am.
We need a cleaner who takes ownership of the building, works at a good pace, and is confident cleaning around staff. This is a busy site with 30–40 staff and open-plan offices. If you prefer to avoid people or need to be told what to do each visit, this won’t suit you.
Non-negotiables:
• Clean all toilets (5 small toilet areas) and refill as needed
• Clean kitchen / staff areas
• Floors throughout (vac/sweep/mop as needed, including workshop walkways)
• Empty bins and replace liners (where required)
Workshop area:
We repair mobile phones. The main issue is dust. You’ll keep this under control as part of your routine.
Desks + open-plan offices:
You must be comfortable cleaning in open-plan areas while staff are present. You’re allowed to move items to clean and put them back neatly. (Accounts and HR offices are off-limits unless escorted.)
Monthly deep-clean rotation:
Over a month you’ll work through deeper tasks such as:
• shelves and hard-to-reach dusting tops of monitors, PCs, keyboards detailed • cleaning of neglected areas (agreed rotation)
• Quarterly deep-clean tasks (e.g. internal windows/vents/fridge/microwave) can be scheduled separately.
What we’re looking for:
• Workplace cleaning experience
• Fast, efficient pace with high standards
• Confident around staff (you don’t “hide away”)
• Self-managed: you build and follow your own routine
• You flag low supplies and request reorders
Pay:
Negotiable for the right person (based on experience and pace).
How to apply
Apply using our application form only (no CV required).
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a paid trial shift (60–90 minutes). We’ll assess:
• pace (working efficiently)
• standard (finish quality)
• confidence cleaning around staff (open-plan areas)
