About the Role

We are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a range of primary and secondary schools across London, including Twickenham, Wandsworth, Lambeth and Croydon.

We work with multiple schools and have opportunities in different boroughs. Candidates can register to be considered for roles in their preferred locations.

You will support pupils with Special Educational Needs such as autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

This role is suitable for individuals with previous experience in schools, care settings, youth work, or support roles, or those looking to gain experience before pursuing teacher training or further qualifications in education.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons
- Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Monitor and report on pupil progress

Requirements

Essential:
- Right to work in the UK
- Have or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient and supportive approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with children

Desirable:
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Experience supporting individuals with SEN

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, childcare, health & social care)
