Summary
The post-holder will assist the current IT team in ensuring the Practice is making best use of the IT to enable it to meet modernisation targets, maximise income and improve patient care Main responsibilities: Scanning and Workflow duties scanning and coding of information from third party letters and other communications received using the Practice clinical system, SystmOne Monitoring of the Practice email accounts ensuring emails are responded to, forwarded to the most appropriate person/department and actioned Monitoring and processing of econsults using the Econsult Hub system Chronic disease management using S1 recall system, inviting patients in for their regular reviews using Ardens and S1 Assisting with smear targets Performing S1 searches as and when required for clinical information Assist with the reports and searches for childhood immunisations, working collaboratively with the nursing team and other IT team members Be responsible for QOF throughout the year, ensuring targets are on track and initiate any work required including the running of reports and inviting patients to attend Be responsible for the on line registrations for patients requiring access, including SystmOnline and NHS apps To act as data input clerk as required, with responsibility for the supervision and inputting of data according to established routine, e.g. Hospital letters, Laboratory results, forms, etc on a regular basis to ensure competency Assist with the recording of information at Safeguarding and Palliative Care Meetings using templates on S1 Assist with the training of all present and new staff in computer techniques and implementing all necessary software updates and renewals Ensure NHS text messaging service is running efficiently, assisting staff and patients To be aware of the Data Protection Act and of its importance and relevance to General Practice To assist in general office duties and reception work as required due to absence or annual leave To assist and advise with regard setting up templates, using read codes for the purpose of extracting data from the computer for the use of audits Assist with the maintaining and update of the Practice website Assist with the maintaining and update of the Practice Facebook account Amend Reception TV Powerpoint slides To jointly produce Practice Newsletters (4 per year) with input from appropriate staff To assist with general IT queries (eg change toners, reset passwords, etc) including communication and liaison with NECS IT staff To assist new staff ensuring passwords, profiles and log ons have been requested Collate Friends and Family information and advertise/display appropriately
