Summary
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will already be confident working on a wide range of automatic door systems, with strong fault‑finding abilities and excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance of automatic sliding, swing, and folding door systems across commercial and residential sites.
Key Responsibilities
Install, service, maintain, and repair:
Automatic sliding, swing, and folding doors
Access control interfaces
Safety sensors and activation systems
Control boards and operators
Diagnose faults quickly and effectively.
Carry out BS EN 16005 safety checks and compliance tasks.
Complete job sheets, reports, and documentation accurately.
Liaise with customers in a professional manner.
Work independently or as part of a team depending on job requirements.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Required Experience & Skills
Essential:
Experience as an Automatic Door Engineer.
Strong knowledge of sliding/swing door operators and controllers.
Confident in fault‑finding and completing repairs independently.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work on your own initiative and manage workload effectively.
BS EN 16005 qualification.
ADSA or DHF accreditation.
Experience with shutters, gates, roller doors, or access control systems.
Electrical or mechanical background/qualification.
