Summary
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual to work alongside an experienced Fire & Security Engineer. This role is ideal for someone who may not have industry-specific qualifications but has a strong work ethic, practical mindset, and a genuine willingness to learn. You will support day-to-day tasks involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, automatic doors, and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with installing, servicing, and repairing:
Fire alarm systems
CCTV systems
Access control and intercom systems
Intruder Alarms
Carry tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
Support engineers during fault-finding, testing, and commissioning.
Help complete basic paperwork, job sheets, and stock checks.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
Requirements (No industry experience needed)
Essential:
Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction.
A practical, hands-on attitude.
Good communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Basic understanding of hand tools and DIY tasks.
Ability to lift and carry equipment.
Full UK driving licence (or working towards it).
Desirable but NOT essential:
Experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or maintenance environments.
Basic knowledge of tools, wiring, or general repairs.
Personal Qualities
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Attention to detail.
