Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety, Health and Workspaces Assistant to join our Safety, Health and Workspaces team at South Yorkshire Housing Association, based at our main office in Sheffield City Centre.

We are looking for someone who will bring excellent customer service, strong collaboration skills, and a proactive, organised approach to their work. This is a key role in keeping our main office running smoothly and safely, supporting our team, employees, contractors, and visitors.

Alongside day‑to‑day facilities support, this role will also play an important part in our health and safety work including accurate minute taking, maintaining files and records, and helping us stay compliant.

Salary: 3CDE £23,582 per annum
Working hours: 37 hrs per week

More about the role:

The role will report to the Workspaces Lead to ensure that our Rockingham Street Main Office is well managed and maintained. Working alongside a collaborative, friendly, and enthusiastic team to provide a great service.

Responsibilities will vary day to day depending on the needs of the office, contractors, and ongoing projects.

For Workspaces, this will look like supporting with facilities tasks, managing supplies within the office, and responding to department requests. You will provide support by responding to ad‑hoc requests, taking responsibility for tasks such as fire safety checks, room setups, contractor coordination, and completing a range of other administrative duties.

For Health and Safety, this will include supporting with H&S documentation, collecting important data, and minute taking. You will also provide support when urgent documents or reports are received, help gather information needed for ongoing projects, and assist with maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance.
