Summary
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum, following the school’s planning or adapting as needed.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and well-being of all pupils.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
• Mark and assess pupils’ work where appropriate, providing feedback to support progress.
• Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of learning.
• Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as required.
• Uphold the school’s values, safeguarding policies, and commitment to equality and diversity.
Requirements:
• Proven experience teaching in a UK primary school setting (Preferred).
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different year groups and teaching styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible, proactive, and professional approach to covering lessons at short notice.
• A clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
• Experience working as a supply or cover teacher.
• Familiarity with a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods.
• Ability to use digital tools and resources to support learning.
