Summary
Overview
We are seeking a hardworking, dedicated individual who wants to be part of a great team in a growing business. To Go Micro Kitchens (part of the Compass Group) offers a bespoke pantry services to our customers in London and Reading. the role is for a Night Shift Manager / Driver cover.
Duties
Ø Managing the delivery team and customer daily delivery requirements for Reading and London.
Ø Motivating and engaging the delivery team in line with the To Go brand.
Ø Managing the team to ensure that jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
Ø Ensure that all drivers are managing customer Micro Kitchen requirements and stock ordering with agreed budgets where applicable.
Ø Managing team resources, planning and routing deliveries ensuring customer orders are delivered on-time and in full.
Ø Leading, mentoring and coaching the team to drive performance and efficiency.
Ø Gain a full knowledge of each delivery to be able to carry out deliveries in London and complete any Micro Kitchen requirements – holiday and sickness cover.
Ø Managing delivery special requests for customers.
Ø Working alongside the warehouse management team to ensure all operational and delivery requirements are achieved.
Ø Undertaking order picking and stock replenishments in the warehouse when not out with drivers / delivering.
Ø Managing all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Ø Ensure timely completion of vehicle checks and report any defects to the General Manager.
Ø Working with the General Manager / Warehouse Management team to ensure that all staff have completed all training requirements with an agreed timescale.
Ø Accurate and timely completion of Paperwork.
Ø Liaise with drivers with any discrepancies on the daily delivery sheets.
To work with the General Manager / Warehouse Management team to ensure that all business expectations are met and achieved.
To work with the General Manager / Warehouse Management team to identify any operational risks, potential improvements, and opportunities for increased efficiencies.
To always have a positive can-do attitude, and to lead by example.
Ability to engage and motivate others to work to a high standard.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate to achieve goals.
Strong communication skills, particularly in giving verbal instructions and support.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
Time management.
Commercial awareness and impact of decisions on bottom line
Ability to critically assess a situation and identify the steps that need to be taken to reach an end point.
To have the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Full training provided.
Working days are Sunday to Thursday, 44 hours per week plus 30-minute lunch break – flexibility required as hours will vary between 4:30pm and 5am. The role is on a 3-month probation period, which upon successful completion will result in a permanent position.
Ideally live with 20 miles or 20 minutes from Reading.
